About Us

Michel and Susan Degive, InnFuse founders, are the former owners of the Old Crocker Inn in Cloverdale, California. The Degives bought the Inn in 2003. At the time, the Inn (once the hunting Lodge of Charles Crocker, founder of the Central Pacific Railroad) was just a private residence needing major repairs. The Degives went to work implementing their detailed business plan, and opened the Inn in March of 2004. Within one short year, the Inn became a hot spot for people visiting Sonoma County. Michel & Susan won multiple awards for the Old Crocker Inn:

• Best overall B&B in North America from Arrington's 2006 Book of Lists.
• Consistent Guest ratings of 5 stars on TripAdvisor.com.
• Award of Merit from the California Heritage Council for restoring and preserving the Crocker Lodge.

Michel & Susan sold the Inn in 2005 and created InnFuse. With their extensive, varied background and experience in real estate, marketing and innkeeping, Michel and Susan share their experience and help aspiring innkeepers and innkeepers fulfill their dreams!

Susan's Bio
Born and raised in Sonoma County, California, Susan has the local insight you'd expect from a third-generation resident. She earned her Real Estate Broker's license in the booming 70's and has kept her fingers in the real estate industry ever since, even while pursuing other interests. Joining her husband in the "new" Internet world, Susan designed computer aided training courses and documented software solutions for companies including Apple, IBM, Intel, CalTrans, and California ISO. Once the kids had flown the nest, she was ready for a new challenge and again joined her husband in creating a new start-up, this time a bed & breakfast inn! In 2006, Susan is making the full circle and back to concentrating on real estate sales with an emphasis on helping aspiring innkeepers.

Michel's Bio
Belgium born, Michel came in the US in 1982. Michel started his career in computer programming. Michel, over the years acquired an extensive business background, learning how corporations operate from Marketing to Accounting. In 1992, Michel tired of working for the big corporate world and attracted by the "new" Internet, started a computer/internet consulting company in Sacramento with his wife Susan. After running the company for 11 years, Michel was ready for a change and wanted a slower lifestyle, the Old Crocker Inn was born. The Inn very quickly became a big success and a favorite place for people to stay at in Sonoma County. Michel is now helping Susan with Innfuse, and doing web programming for Inns and other businesses.
